BPI-Philam improves customer access with Financial Technology

“Digital Transformation” is a buzzword taking over a lot of tech companies in the Philippines and all over the world, but the use of technology to revolutionize how companies reach their customers isn’t unique only to tech giants.

In celebration of Bancassurance month, BPI-Philam shares how fintech shouldn't just be at the fringes of the business and the customer journey, it should lead it.

“Revolutionizing financial security and insurance is not only about improving products – it’s also about improving our customer’s experience every time they interact with us,” said Surendra Menon, BPI-Philam CEO. “People used to have to take ten or twenty steps before they get their hands on the policy that they want. Technology has helped us cut those steps significantly, and it has allowed us to fulfill our mission of making insurance easy to get and easy to have.”

BPI-Philam helps Filipinos prepare this Disaster Awareness Month

The Philippines isn't new to natural disasters or calamities.

Compared to its other Southeast Asian neighbors, our country experiences a wider range of disasters. From floods to landslides, and typhoons to earthquakes – the most recent of which just happened in Leyte with a magnitude of 6.5 – the Philippines continues to endure and survive. Though the government does its best in preparing for and anticipating these times of emergency through awareness efforts and disaster response drills, self-mitigation is still an area that we can further improve on.

Now, a car loan that pays you back from BPI Family Auto Loan!

The first quarter of 2014 has shown a very strong increase in car sales, registering 23% more compared to the same period last year. This can be attributed to the robust Philippine economy, the introduction of more affordable cars, and the aggressive car financing schemes that make affordable cars even more affordable.

Auto loans have been key enablers in making cars more accessible as their price become easier to pay via a series of affordable partial payment over a period of time. Down payments, which historically have been car buyers’ biggest hurdle, have been reduced to rock bottom levels to make them more viable to a greater number of prospective buyers. Monthly payments have also been made lighter with longer payment terms, making it possible for many to own their dream car.
