Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. Reaffirms Commitment to Helping OFWs "Come Home for Good"

Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc., in partnership with the Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute and the Associated Marine Officers' and Seamen's Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP), brought its continuing advocacy to life by co-presenting a two-leg Overseas Filipinos Health and Financial Wellness Expo.

Held in Cebu and Iloilo, the initiative brought together migrant workers, seafarers, dependents, and stakeholders for a day focused on health, financial literacy, and community support. 

On-site services and informational sessions were provided by government agencies, including the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, and PhilHealth. Meanwhile, healthcare services were delivered by Physicians Diagnostic Services Center Inc., which offered physical examinations, blood sugar testing, and a wellness lecture addressing the unique health challenges faced by seafarers.

Sun Life expands nationwide presence with opening of new branch in Davao

Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. recently opened its third New Business Office (NBO) in Davao called the Grand Elm NBO.

Located at the heart of one of Davao’s bustling commercial centers, Cybergate Delta 2 along J.P. Laurel Avenue, the Grand Elm NBO is poised to serve the growing needs to Clients and advisors, while also strengthening the company’s presence in one of the fastest growing metropolitans in the country. It will have Branch Manager Don Silver Casumpang at the helm.

Sun Life has two other NBOs in Davao, including the Durian NBO, located in Magsaysay Avenue and Mangrove NBO in Matina.

Sun Life Bags No. 1 Spot in Philippines' MDRT, Sole PH Firm in Global Top 50

Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. (Sun Life) once again bags the number one spot in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for having the highest number of financial advisors in this exclusive and prestigious organization. Having 540 financial advisors as members of the MDRT last 2023, Sun Life bested the competition, eclipsing the closest contender by 172 members.

MDRT is an association of life insurance agents and financial advisors that aims to promote ethical standards, best practices, and the promotion of the sales profession for life insurance as well as the health and long-term care industry. Sun Life Advisors Bag 9 out of 10 Spots in Gintong Kalasag Awards

Over 250 Sun Life advisors shine in the Philippine Life Insurance Advisors Awards 

Nine of the Top 10 life insurance advisors in the country belong to Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. This is according to the results of the Philippine Life Insurance Advisors Awards (PhiLIAA), the first ever nationwide recognition program for life insurance advisors.  

PhiLIAA has three categories, the most prestigious of which is the Gintong Kalasag Award, which is given to the Top 10 life insurance advisors in the Philippines based on their annualized premium. Among the Sun Life advisors recognized were Irma Su at 10th place, Simon del Rosario at 8th place, Odessa Saludares at 7th place, Guo Jie Huang at 6th place, Ralph Aarone Monzon at 5th place, Sheryl Toribio at 4th place, Ralph Delas Alas at 3rd place, Owdylyn Lee at 2nd place, and Jenith Mijares at 1st place.

Suj Peso Maximizer (Proincome): Maximizing Peso Assets With Sun Life's New Investment-Linked Insurance Product

In a bid to address Filipinos’ need for more avenues to invest in offshore investments, Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. has launched the Sun Peso Maximizer (ProIncome) to provide clients easy access to global investments using their Peso assets.  

The Sun Peso Maximizer (ProIncome) is a Peso-denominated, single-pay investment-linked insurance product that offers annual income payout of 4.30% for seven years. It also provides capital protection, allowing one to get back their full single premium by policy maturity or at the end of the seven-year holding period.  

“With the Sun Peso Maximizer, clients can enjoy regular earnings even prior to the maturity of their policy. This will provide them with extra income to address various needs such as growing their wealth while preserving their capital,” Sun Life Philippines Chief Distribution Officer Al Quitangon said.
